We love water, it’s safe to assume. There are many benefits to this essential element of our lives. It can help with weight loss, recovery, satiety and cognitive function. Our coaches recommend that you consume at least half your body weight in ounces daily.
Although it may seem simple, water intake is not always easy. We find that clients often drink less than the recommended daily water intake, are drinking non-hydrating beverages, or have forgotten to drink enough water.
Here are five smart ways to ensure you reach your daily water goal.
5 Smart Ways To Drink More Water
1 Lemon, Salt, Water, In the Morning
Drinking water with lemon and sea salt is a great way to get your day started. This is a great way to start your day. It builds the power of habit. This will make it easier to maintain a routine in your exercise and lifestyle habits. The minerals in the sea salt will also help you stay hydrated, giving you a boost for the day.
2 Design a Bottle
A second tip is to identify a bottle to help you drink enough water. You get bonus points if the vessel is made of metal or glass. This water bottle is great to have with you wherever you go. This water bottle will remind you to drink. You’ll also be prepared in case water isn’t readily available throughout the day.
3) Drink at Events (It’s Not What You Think! )
Drinking water is a way to associate events with the day. This is a great way for you to establish a routine and continue to drink enough. Consider the main events that occur each day. You can think of the following: waking up, eating breakfast, driving to work and getting there, as well as going to lunch. These events can be used as reminders to drink water. Drink water at both work and home. This is a great example. It will become a part of your daily routine, and eventually a habit.
4) Make It Accessible
Fourth tip: Make it easy to access. Accessibility is key to success, just like how you designate a bottle. You can leave a glass on the nightstand, a pitcher in the fridge, and a glass or mug on your desk. They will serve as reminders and can be saved in case you forget your bottle.
5) Make It Fun
Fifth tip: Make your water more fun! Sparkling waters, teas, water with citrus or sliced fruits, and water with sparkling water are all great options if you’re bored of plain tap water. Make sure that they don’t contain any sugar or caffeine.
