Search on Instagram History Doesn’t Clear? Try These Solutions

5. REDUCE TOP SUGGESTED SEARCH

Even after applying the above methods, specific websites or results show up at the top of the search results. These usually appear under the label Suggested. To get rid of this tag or profile, follow these steps.

Step 1. Start Instagram. Open the Instagram app and click the Search tab near the bottom.

Step 2. You’ll be brought into the screen for searching. There, you must keep your finger on (long-tap) your profile beneath the suggested label until you receive an alert. Choose to hide from the drop-down menu.

Make this a practice for all accounts you wish to keep from being automatically listed under suggested.
